WHAT IS HYBRID screen PRINTING?

Hybrid printing results in a very unique look and feel by using a discharge underbase, which bleaches out the shirt, and printing plastisol on top of it. We like to think it's a bit of the best from both worlds. You get some of the softness from the discharge underbase but retain much of the opacity and vibrancy from the plastisol top layer. However, because of the discharge underbase, hybrid printing works best on 100% cotton garments, and it can be affected by the color and material of the garment. It is not recommended if consistency is your priority or if you are printing on a wide variety of colors and garments.

PROS:
+ Cost effective
+ Unique, soft feel
+ Opaque
+ Ability to print detailed artwork
CONS:
- Inconsistent color matching across garments
- Risk of color inaccuracy
- Works best only on cotton

SummAry of hybrid printing.

Hybrid printing is most effective when dealing with large, solid print areas, high-color-count artwork, and photorealistic designs. It offers the flexibility to achieve intricate and vibrant visuals while maintaining as soft a hand as possible. However, it may not be the ideal choice for replicating important brand colors or when working with forest green, royal, or purple garments because it can be difficult to achieve precise color matching. When executed correctly, hybrid prints can be a great choice for high-quality end product.
